3D artist Michael Eden

"Michael Eden is a maker whose work sits at the intersection of craft, design and art, exploring contemporary themes through the redesign of historical, culturally familiar objects utilising digital manufacturing and materials." http://www.michael-eden.com/about/

Michael Eden was a basic ceramic potter. A research project called MPhil at the Royal College of Art had shown him how to digitally inhance his artwork. He orginially just used his hands, clay and tools to create 3D sculptures like pots. Then he started to use the help of technology to make it more creative, he then soon started using the two together.

http://www.michael-eden.com/edenceramics/ Here is a journal he would update his fans about. The introduction talking about how he was at that time currently workin with Andy Jeffery and Forest Snyder of 3D Systems about ceramic 3D printing. This would mean you could print out a vase or any ceramic sculture using a computure and a printer.

All of his work is on this website: http://www.michael-eden.com I am not able to post pictures at this time. I personally like this artists work more for the mix of "old and new".  He still makes ceramic sculptures from hand but he also worked with others to create and discover the ability of 3D ceramic printing. Which is mixing orginal basic art into the digital modern world, and i find that very fascinating that someone is and was able to do that.
