My Response too "The death of photography: are camera phones destroying an artform?

In my opinion, this article had a great amount of arguments showing how people thought. But I do not think that camera phones are destroying an art form. To be honest, I feel its making a different kind of form. The fact that people all over the world can take pictures, great pictures with their phone is wonderful. Then you have those, who use proper cameras, and take better quality photos. They are the ones that truly care for the art form of pure photography. Where they can process and or print out their art. Sell their art in a frame. They are making a living off what they enjoy doing, and everyone in the world still wants pictures in a frame of the Northern Lights, or the sunset from the South Pole, or the Eiffel Tower in France. People take pictures on their phone for memories, to look back at a time and say "I went to Paris, and saw the Eiffel Tower, and woke up to the smell of french bread every morning." Its too remember a time where you enjoyed something you did or how beautiful your kids and grand kids are. I don't think camera phones is destroying an art form, but making a new maybe easier access artform.

Social Media

I find the videos about social media, very obsured and hypocritical. They put these videos on social media to express it, but they are talking about how people use social media too much. I use social media as a way to express myself, and what i believe in. I would say i use social media a lot, but that is the normal at this point. There is so much all over social media for topics ranging from a gorilla being shot to Donald Trump being president, to the iPhone 8. I dont have concerns about social media usage to myself, but to the younger generation yes because i worry that they will abuse social media.

Masks

I wanted to show these masks, because each  of them interested me. They are all different kinds of masks and different styles, from different cultures. But they all have a  specific features about them that i enjoy.

  
I like these masks because they are sculptured in depth and the facial features pop out. These are also scary, creepy masks, which makes them even better.
 
I really liked these masks because of the nose. The nose is long and is the ephasis of the piece, and i findi very unique and interesting.

I found these masks hilarious, they are used for female facial features in plays. The shape, and they way they made the mask so realistic, makes me really happy and enthused.

  
These masks interest me because they are childish and fun. These are so unique and it would be extremely hard to replicate it, and i find that really cool.

 
These are Aztec masks, and if you look up Aztec masks, you get a variety of different shapes and styles but all seem to be blue.

What does media mean?

To me media means, some sort of way to socialize and communicate to others, in a wide aspect. For example, magazines, newspaper, Facebook, Google, etc. Anything that can express something, to many. Usually media is used to talk, or share an event or opinion of someones. Its usually used to make a change in the world. But sometimes not.
The Google definition of media is, the main means of mass communication. examples being, television, newspapers, internet, radio, etc. Media is used to grab peoples attention in the easiest, quickest way. Lately people have been using it to talk about politics, violence against civilians of all orientation, gender, and sexuality. Media isn't always used to make a difference, in a positive way. Sometimes people use it for a negative affect.

When I first saw this picture,  I thought it was so beautiful. At first when I looked at it, I just saw the deer, and then I noticed the antlers. The antlers are flammed, they set up the art piece so that way you see the deer first, then if you look around you can see the gas cans and the connectors. I think the goal, or the main focus of this piece is the antlers. The artist found a way to make them glow, and pop out at you.

Illusion Gifs

I personally like these three illusions mainly for the fact that you dont know when they start or when they end. Because they are gifs they repeat over and over, making it even harder to see where the start is, and where the end is. Those are the kind of illusions and gifs that I find fascinating,

Windfire Design Kites

The kite on the left is the flame kite, and the one on the right is the O2 flame kite.

The flame kite is a kite that sails on thin, light wind. The O2 flame kite is a kite surfs on wind currents. Windfire design kites, are created in a structure that can curve continously. So that the kite doesnt break. Both are designed in different sizes, because of the different winds.

These are the common Windfire designed kites, they look like the flame kites.
